Forest Park, Queens, NY          (map by Tom Davis, circa 1975)

 Parula
Warbler
Forest Park is known for its spring migration of birds.  A favorite spot for avian concentration is the water hole in the eastern portion of the park.
In times of drought, birders help to maintain the water hole by bringing containers of water.  This was begun by Tom Davis who would include the request for water, when it was needed, on the Rare Bird Alert for the metropolitan region.
