Feature Article: BAR BEACH SEES A BRIGHTER
FUTURE Dear EEA Friend: This season’s feature article focuses on a popular wetland science - Restoration. Wetland Restoration, as well as creation of wetlands, has been a major focus of the wetland sciences for over two decades now. Over the years, enormous strides have been
taken in refining the art of a successful wetland restoration. Journals,
conferences, protocols, regulations, and, sometimes heated, debates, have
delivered an enormous amount of data toward this goal. EEA has orchestrated
numerous wetland restoration/creation projects, one of which is highlighted in
this edition. Click on our link below to read the full article on the wetland
restoration of Bar Beach.
EEA would like to announce the establishment of
a New Jersey office in Weehawken headed by Glenn R. Piehler, Ph.D., who has over
25 years experience in directing environmental studies for electric utilities
and industry. Dr. Piehler is currently a principal investigator for EEA work
for New York City Department of Environmental Protection.
Don’t miss our new format on both the Home Page and the Ecology Page. Link to EEA’s projects conducted for NYS Department of Transportation (NYSDOT) and Ecology’s EIS Studies. The EEA Phase I Site Assessment page provides scenic views of beautiful Upstate New York Watersheds. In keeping with our desire to effectively communicate, be environmentally
friendly, and cost conscious, we are continuing our periodic electronic
Newsletter instead of printing and mass mailing to our clients and friends. We
will continue sending notices of each new edition. We welcome your e-mail
comments on our approach. Link to: |
