CLEANUP OF CONTAMINATED INDUSTRIAL PROPERTIES

NEW YORK’S NEW PUSH TO GET RESULTS

Dear EEA Friend:

The Fall Newsletter gives the reader insight into the recent State legislation enacting the Brownfield Statutory Cleanup Program and refinancing New York State’s Hazardous Waste Superfund.Program.  Both actions will accelerate the identification and subsequent cleanup of contaminated sites.  The typical steps leading to the identification and cleanup of a contaminated property are presented with examples of specific projects.  Learn the basics in a highly specialized environmental science field.

On EEA’s Home Page, test your birding knowledge.  See how many birds you can identify just by hearing their songs.  Answers can be found at the bottom of the page.  Watch for a new link to EEA’s consulting services for Cooling Water Intake Systems (Entrainment/Impingement 316 (b) Studies).  Please send us any comments you have about our website.

In keeping with our desire to effectively communicate, be environmentally friendly, and cost conscious, we are continuing our periodic electronic Newsletter instead of printing and mass mailing to our clients and friends. We will continue sending notices of each new edition. We welcome your e-mail comments on our approach.
