Feature Article: WINDS OF CHANGE BLOW ACROSS LONG ISLAND Offshore Wind Energy Proposed for Long Island Dear EEA Friend: Welcome Spring! In keeping with our desire to effectively communicate, be environmentally friendly, and cost conscious, we are continuing our periodic electronic Newsletter instead of printing and mass mailing to our clients and friends. We will continue sending notices of each new edition. We welcome your e-mail comments on our approach. Our Marine Ecology Page and Wetland Ecology Page have debuted since our Winter Newsletter. Link to view some exciting projects being done by the Marine and Ecology Teams. On a more artistic note, Allen Serper, Vice President of EEA, has a hidden talent - oil painting. Link to Al's Art Page to view some of his inspiring works. Now that spring is here, don't forget to check out our Nature Walks and Eco-Links Page for local hot spots to visit. The Spring Edition feature article introduces an energy concept that
offers a clean alternative to the current energy practices in the United
States - offshore wind energy. While already established in Europe,
offshore wind energy structures do not currently exist in the U.S.
With EEA's help, as well as other team consultants, the Long Island Power
Authority (LIPA) is proposing to construct an offshore wind energy farm
off the southern shores of Long Island. Click on our link below to
